Same day delivery

I ordered a PlayStation 4 Pro for same day delivery, however, the package was attempted to be delivered today 4/16 by 9pm while I was at work at 12:06pm and I did not get home until 5pm. I called the best buy store in Vauxhall and was given a corporate number to call. I called the number and explained that I wanted to reschedule delivery for the product. To my dismay, I was told that the courier Deliv had already returned the product. I was also told that I would receive a refund for the total amount I paid. While I needed the PS4 Pro today 4/16 I had to dish out more money to basically buy a PS4 Slim and now wait for my refund.

This is both a major inconvenience as I was looking forward to the console and now have a big financial hole in my pocket since I had to purchase a PS4 Slim and not have a PS4 Pro, on my own. I've never had an issue like this.

Welcome to our community.  I haven’t had the chance to try out Same-Day Delivery on an order of mine just yet, but I imagine it would be far more convenient than driving to the store if you were on a tight schedule that day.  Having an order arrive later than expected (or not at all) is never an enjoyable experience, though, and I’m sorry to hear that this has inconvenienced you.


It's important to note that shipping speeds are determined based on when an item is available and ready to ship out.  If we had to take the time to locate or request an item from another Best Buy store or warehouse, that could have caused a delay with the processing of your order.  Our Same-Day Delivery FAQs state that if our delivery partner is unable to obtain a signature while you are home, and they cannot reach you by phone, your order would be returned to the store for an automatic refund.  While I am glad to hear you were able to receive a new PS4 Slim, I realize this scenario didn’t play out as you would’ve hoped, and I apologize for the disappointment it may have caused.


What if I am not available when the delivery partner arrives?

  • For residential deliveries, if our delivery partner attempts delivery, but you are not available, and they cannot find a safe place to leave your order, they may try to contact you at the phone number provided during checkout.
  • For business deliveries, someone must be available to receive the order. Our delivery partner may try to contact you at the phone number provided during checkout.


If the delivery is not able to be completed, your order will be returned to the store, and a full refund of your order and shipping costs will be completed within 24 hours of it being returned.


I hope you will give Best Buy another chance to renew your loyalty at a future date.  Thank you for writing to us.

While I appreciate your feedback, I'm still seeing the order as shipped and was promised a refund. While I understand it should take 24 - 72 hours, it's been 48+ hours and still nothing has shown up in my bank account via debit card. This is frustrating as I need that money before I go completely broke here. Most sites issue an immediate reversal. I'm not sure what the hold up is, so please help if you can.

Not yet refunded

Ok, so I've been back and forth with best buy back office regarding my refund. I spoke to someone on Tuesday regarding deliv not delivering my PS4 pro that I ordered on 4/16. Deliv returned it to the store and I was told that it should be an automatic refund which it's not. Here it Saturday and I see no money returned to my bank account and I'm just about broke. There's no reason why a same day delivery service would return the product after not being able to deliver it and then no one knows where my refund is. I spoke to two people today alone at the back office and no one knows anything. I'm close to filing a dispute with my bank over this. It's ridiculous what I have to go through to get a refund for the courier returning a product to the store which should have been automatic. I'm irate at this point, I want my money back.
