Ordered a product on Thursday eve (technically, Friday morning as it was around 2:AM). Opted for Same Day Delivery for another 5.95.
Same Day Delivery cut off is 3M, so I about 13 hours ahead of the game. All day Friday, the status shows "arriving Nov 8th", "we're preparing your shipment". Later in the afternoon, I saw the status was not changed, so I phoned into customer support and was connected to Best Buy's "Same Day" service. The gentlemen checks on my order and repsonds with "don't worrry, you'll get it tomorrow (the 9th). My response: I paid for and needed it for today for a reason. He then tells me, well, you can call Best Buy and they will refund your shipping.
I was so angry, I asked if I could cancel the whole order since it's arriving late. He said, it's already in progress so you'll have to wait to get the product then bring it back to the store. This is ridiculous. I usually use Amazon when it comes to Same Day, but thought I'd give Best Buy a shot. Now I know not to sway in the future.

I have to return a product. I first decided to use UPS, then realized, the Best Buy store is closer than the UPS drop off store. I already printed my UPS label, but can I just bring it to the store and the UPS label will be ignored? Or will that screw things up?

When placing an order, I'm always eagerly awaiting the time for it to arrive. I can understand placing the order so early for same day delivery, and then not getting it as expected, is not an ideal situation to be in. I appreciate you taking the time to reach out to us regarding your experience and inquiry about returning the item.
With the delivery dates shown on our site, we always do our best to ensure that these are met, however, there are times when something may not happen as expected, causing a delay. I'd be happy to take a look into your order to see if I may be able to figure out what happened to cause the item to not arrive as expected on Friday. If you can send me a private message, using the button in my signature, with your name, phone number, email address, and order number, this would assist greatly.
As far as your inquiry about being able to return the item to your local store after creating the UPS label, you should still be able to do this, if you have not already. The UPS labels are basically a courtesy to our customers to make returns easy, and they generally will expire if not used within a certain number of days. If you should have any additional questions on this, or anything else, please feel free to let me know.
I look forward to hearing from you soon.
