Robbed of PS5 fT Checkout due to faulty website

On this date after working a mid shift I stayed up all day for a chance to score a ps5 console bundle for my son for Christmas. Finally in. The afternoon opportunity came and a landed one in my cart early. However, every time I clicked checkout for the first hour I got error messsges telling me to try again, then finally, it moved forward to checkout where it selected my store for pickup for all bundle items. I selected proceed to payment and it came back to select a different store for the ps5, every store selected even ones far away returned the same error until the top of the screen said we have experienced a glitch, pleas call Best Buy and provided a number to place my order. I called and the queue said a 10 minute wait, 52 minutes later I was still on hold as I watched the checkout page return me to the cart and note that the ps5 console, the main part of the bundle was no longer available. I hung up<br>And tried to call back again and then the queue said over 3 hours, which told me Bedt Buy had no plans to ever assist in completing my order, even though I played by the rules, even preloaded payment and shipping defaults on my account to expedite checkout. It was not me but your website failure that robbed me of the ps5 that I fought so hard to acquire and the fact that it was not reserved in my checkout box and robbed from me for someone that managed to get through the glitches, likely professional hackers/bots to take and resell for rediculous costs compounds my anger over this. I was smart enough to take plenty of screen shots of stages and error messages and changes you made and have already shared my distain for Best Buy’s lack of customer service on Facebook and once the holiday has passed and I do not damage my son’s Christmas experience, I intend to share more Widely the pictures of my checkout page and the the note from you company of a glitch and your lack of fairness of resolution, along with the mental stress I endured because of your complete lack of care for the customer and a square focus not on fairly processing those that were there first, but instead moving on to whoever got the dollar in your pocket quickest. It is a shame and has forever altered my opinion of Best Buy. Hope your kidS/grand kids enjoy the gift mine will do without because of this travesty in management and the lack of care/compassion and fairness for your customers.#worstbuy experience ever,

Worst designed process ever

I just spent an hour of my time wasted trying to get a PS5.  My complaint is not that I didn't get one, my complaint is wasting an hour of my time through bad design to tell me no.

 

1. Got to the site, and into the queue for the "Add to cart" to light up.

2. Waited about 30 mins for that

3. Lit up, added to cart, great.

4. Tells me my store doesn't have any, select another store.

 

At this point, I would expect the *site* to tell me which store near me I can get it from. Nope, I have to guess.  so after 30 more mins of checking each store, I finally get told all inventory everywhere is gone.

 

That is such an awful, horrid, bad way to treat your customers. Shame on you.

Ordering on Website nightmare

Tried to place order for a Ps5 for over an hour. I followed all the instructions and had the item in my cart for over 30 minutes. Kept being able to select different stores but was unable to complete checkout as everytime i went to check out it wasnt available for pickup at the changed location. Very frustrating to spend that much time trying to order and to have it in your cart and still cant complete. When you select other stores availability it should show who has it and be able to complete order. It shouldnt take that much time to complete. I realize its a high demand item. But once in cart you should be able to check out. I spent more time trying to select different stores to no avail. Very frustrating

same (posted almost the exact same story with the exact same result). I can't think of a worst designed website and process. This was pretty bad as it cost the customer the time. Better design would have not made us get our hopes up when we finally got the item into our cart only to find that really didn't mean anything if you couldn't actually attach it to a store with inventory.

I was supposed to get. PS5 and you removed only that from my checkout and left the rest of the bundle, as if....What a kick in the pants

They did me the same way. They had the audacity to send me an email stae my order is ready for payment with just the controller for tthe bundle. I have a verification code for the order. Customer service lied on two separate phone calls saying they would fix it. My verification code was sent @12:03pm.

Ireceived my code by email which I entered and my cart moved forward to checkout where it selected my store for pickup for all bundle items. I called and the queue said a 10 minute wait, 48 minutes later I was still on hold as I watched the checkout page return me to the cart and note that the ps5 console, the main part of the bundle was no longer available. I hung up and tried to call back again and then the queue said over 3 hours, which after 5 hrs I was told Best Buy had no plans to ever assist in completing my order and that the previous two reps lied to me about fixing my order.

Items in the cart are not reserved, you need to pay for them immediately. Otherwise you risk losing out. Regardless of this, there still is a chance that even at checkout you can lose your item if you did not check out before someone else.
