Return stolen item

Fraudulent charges at Best Buy five times on my BoA debit/credit card Jan 3. Bank is removing/removed charges and issued new card with new number. One of the products was delivered to my home Jan. 10. My husband tried to return it to the store. They said they COULDN'T return it because they needed to refund it back to our card. We don't want the cash the bank took care of the charge we just want some sort of receipt stating we returned it. The store couldn't take back a STOLEN ITEM! We just want to return it to it's rightful owner. It's no wonder there is so much fraud the system has created it. Could I just ship it back with signature required which would give us a receipt of return?

What you’ve described is a common fraud situation we’ve been noticing over the last few years. Please do not hand over the package to FedEx or any carrier that claims we’ve sent them to collect the purchase. We do not partner with our shipping partners in that way for these kinds of issues. Partnering with your local Best Buy would’ve been the correct way to remedy this matter quickly. We’re sorry they may not have understood the situation.
