Return period over???

I had until the 10th to make a return and it was and is still the 10th but the web site is telling me the return period has passed what's the deal? Not to mention the stores close before its even dark out which doesn't help people trying to get in ti make a return. But my point is the date hasn't passed and I I'm sure there is some time zone related excuse but if I purchase online In my time zone returns have to be the same.... Please explain what I should do.

They use whatever the time is in minnesota, where they are head quartered for Thier web site.
