Return over 45 days

I made a purchase on Dec 19, 2020. On my best buy app under "Purchase history" it shows all my purchases. This item in particular shows "Returnable until December 19, 2021". When I select the "Return and support option" button and select my reason, it says I can return it to the store I purchased it at. I tried to return it in store and they denied my return for being after 45 days. I called the customer service number and they said the same thing, but can't tell me WHY the app says it's still Returnable.

Please help, I have screenshots.

That's very strange. Elite members have one of the biggest return windows for items. But 1 year to return an item is not possible with Best Buy, not ever, not even during the holidays. I don't know how they would keep in business if they offered 1 year to return an item.

 

Hopefully a BBY Mod can solve your issue.

First and foremost, I'd like to give you a warm welcome to our community! That certainly is strange that it is showing that return period. As hockeycanuckjc mentioned, depending on the item and your My Best Buy tier status, you may have up to 45 days to return or exchange an item. Additional details about this can be found within our Return & Exchange Promise.
