Refund of order "{removed per forum guidelines}" - Damaged Open Box Item

Hi BestBuy team, Admin-BBY,

 

Im Staying in India and I had placed an order for an open box laptop with order ID {removed per forum guidelines} -  from online store on Aug 30, 2022 as a Gift for my brother who stays in Buffalo , NY . It got it delivered to my brother on Sept 1st 2022 , and the laptop was in a damaged and defective condition . The very next day on Sept 2nd 2022 My brother visited the Amherst Store in Buffalo and the store denied the return . Since im based out of India i tried calling into the support line and got connected and when the agent tried to transfer the call to the other team , it got dropped . Hence i tried the Chat support and the agent requested me to ship the package back using the UPS label return process. 

The Laptop was returned on Sept 2nd 2022 to UPS and it got delivered to BestBue on Wed, Sep 07, 10:00 a.m. Im glad that the return is with Best Buy , however in the order details return total , I only see $912.99 as opposed to $992.88 . Can you please assist me here as even the Tax should be refunded as the product was delivered defective and damaged.

PS: Due to the laptop being an essential item for my brother for his assignments , i Purchased a new laptop from BestBuy itself .

Sometimes Best Buy will bundle in freebies with the laptop that is purchased. You should check the receipt page to see if this was the case and if so, the value of them may be deducted from your return.
