Refund cancelled order

I placed an order for an iPad Pro from BestBuy.

However, my order being cancelled right after i pay using my debit card.

For your information, my debit card is issue in Malaysia.



I am concern on the refund process since it's my first time purchase from BestBuy and i am from Malaysia.

I did call customer service and chat as well but seem like i cannot get any answer but to wait to next billing cycle.

Hope you can help with my problem.



Is my transaction in the refund process currently ?

I wanted to know the update on my refund progress so i can contact my debit card to to track the progress.

When you place an order on BestBuy.com with a credit or debit card, no funds are collected until the order is being fulfilled (delivered/picked up). During that time, it is only an authorization that may or may not be held by the bank. If the order is cancelled, nothing is being refunded to a credit or debit card, as no funds were collected by Best Buy. The authorization should simply drop off, and the funds should be released by the bank. This typically occurs within about a week, but can take up to a full billing cycle. With international orders, the process is often on the longer end of the spectrum. The timeframe for this to occur depends on your financial institution, so we would recommend connecting with them directly for a more specific timeframe.
