Refund System

After realizing none of my items I ordered for pickup would be on time, I canceled all of them within 5 minutes of the order. However as it says it will refund me, I still have not received the full refund. Is there something i’m missing here, or how long will it usually take to receive the refund?

For credit cards, you are not actually charged until the pickup of the item.  My guess is what you are seeing is the reserve charge placed on the account, most likely listed as "pending".  This will never post to your account, and the funds will be released by the Card Issuing Bank in accordance within their timelines.  To put this in perspective:  My current debit card takes over a week and a half to release funds while my credit card takes 3 business days or so.

Welcome to our Best Buy Forum community! This is a great place to go for answers to any questions or concerns regarding an order, so I'm glad you took the time to share your experience with us.

 

As super user, jdogg836, mentioned, you most likely cancelled the order before the charge went through. That would mean that instead of waiting for a refund to be processed, you would just need to wait for the authorization hold to fall off and the funds will go back into your account.

 

The authorization hold is there to verify the funds are available, as the charge wouldn't be processed unit the products are shipped or picked up in store. Usually the hold will fall off within a few days, but it can vary depending on your bank.
