Received my order with the wrong item in the right packaging

I ordered a Dell S2721DGF and received the correct box and packaging but when I opened it there was a cheap monitor inside that was not the item I ordered. I spent over $500 and received a $120 monitor inside the $500 monitor box. Im having a hard time understanding how this could have happened when i ordered a brand new item that should have been left unopened. I called the support number and the best they can do is have me send the monitor back and get a refund because the monitor i want is out of stock now and at a higher price from different websites. I need a monitor for school and work and cant be with out a monitor for long periods of time. Is there anything else that can be done?

The local Best Buy would be your best bet to get this taken care of. But an exchange could be tricky if it was a limited sale item. However if you are within your return and exchange period, regardless of price you can get the same item and you would not pay the expensive price providing its in stock.
