Not exactly the same but currently I'm dealing with an issue. I bought a Galaxy S10 Lite unlocked via curbside pickup. For no apparent reason the app decided I couldn't use my debit card and basically auto switched me to my PayPal account. Fine, I used that. Now the only reason I was even doing curbside pickup with PayPal is because I was unaware the store was even back open. There were no announcements, nothing, and the app was still operating like they weren't open. Even when I got there all their guard rails and signs were still up, yet inside it's as open as can be, half the employees not even wearing masks. Anyways, I decided to return the phone about 5 days later. Completely forgot I used my PayPal. Fast forward almost 2 weeks later and I have gotten no refund. Several chat attempts with PayPal and Best Buy both lead to this circle of them blaming each other and redirecting me. Occasionally Best Buy claims they are having an internal problem processing PayPal specific refunds, but PayPal says that's not an issue they've ever heard about and denies that too. To me it just sounds like rehtoric from Best Buy so that they can have me wait the full 30 days and THEN bother them further, or probably have to make a dispute so that it can take even longer to get my money back. Maybe Best Buy should stop using PayPal. I've never had a problem with Best Buy returns before this but this relationship seems toxic and I'm pretty sure I'm just being strung along, as if it's ok to just take hundreds and hundreds of dollars from someone indefinitely, especially during this time. I have no idea what else to do except wait until it's been an actual 15 business days at least (3 weeks in real time). It's absurd. Furthermore my PayPal is linked to my debit card, so it was just using my debit card anyway. I don't use cash inside of the actual PayPal. This situation is a joke.

Thank you for reaching out regarding the whereabouts of your PayPal refund. While I'm glad to hear you chose to shop with us for a Samsung Galaxy S10 Lite, I understand it didn't work out for you, leading to your return for a refund. 

 

PayPal refunds usually appear within a couple of hours, though it can take up to a day. To hear you're still waiting weeks later is pretty shocking, so I'm glad you've brought this to our attention. Tasha. I have sent a private message to different specialists on here. Have not gotten a response from either one. The second I sent more detailed information with the order number and other info. Thank you for responding. I was told by a few agents on the chat on the website/app that there is an internal problem going on with PayPal/Best Buy but I'm feeling skeptical about that. PayPal says that's not an issue.
