I have the same problem. My order was canceled but my funds debited from my card were not credited.

Hello 3dluis,

 

Welcome to our forum community!  I would be pretty frustrated if I believed I was still owed money as well, so I hope I’m able to provide some helpful information. 

 

I took a look at the order number you provided and the purchaser does not match the information from your forum registrations.  Due to the Best Buy privacy policy, I cannot release information about an order to someone who is not the purchaser.  I would advise that if the purchaser has questions, to have them create a forum account of their own or call into the customer service line at 1-888-BEST BUY (1-888-237-8289).  

 

That being said, I do have some general information that you might find helpful. When an order is placed online with a credit card, it shouldn’t be charged until it fully processed.  What does happen is Best Buy must do an authorization check to ensure that funds are present.  When there is an authorization check, a credit card company will likely hold funds for that amount for approximately 5-9 business days even if the order is canceled. Here is a link that includes a list of estimated time required for an authorization to be removed for some common payment methods.  If after waiting that amount of time a customer still does not see an authorization released on their account, I would advise that they should speak to their credit card company.
