Re: Incorrect Store Location When Logged In

My situation is very similar... I have been buying things from the same store for many years... hundreds of items, if not more. I also buy items and have them delivered to one of my daughters in Texas. Another daughter went to school in Hawaii and ONE TIME, I looked up something to see if it was in stock at her local store a couple of years ago and my store has been stuck on that one ever since!

This is incredibly frustrating since that means EVERY time I search or check on something to see if it is in stock, I have to go in and change the store setting. It happens on my phone, in the app, and on multiple computers. It is NOT the data cache on the computers, since I have different usernames and it happens when I am logged into different browsers. It has to be something Best Buy sets on their end. I have scoured the website trying to find some way to set it, but every time I change it, it resets back after a short time. I don't live in Hawaii, have never been to hawaii and have never bought ANYTHING from a Best Buy store in Hawaii!

PLEASE, Best buy, FIX THIS. I am finding it easier and easier to go elsewhere to find the products I need... even Walmart's store locator stays at the right setting!!!

I thought I was the only one having a problem like this, but I am finding dozens of posts and complaints about this. I would think a technology company would be able to find and fix a problem like this after so many years and so many complaints!

This really impacts the user's experience when trying to shop for products.

Re: Incorrect Location / Zip Code On Website

This does not happen due to ISP settings... my store info is set for a store I searched ONE time, a couple of years ago in Hawaii to check on availability of an item for one of my daughters! I don't and have never lived in Hawaii and my ISP is Charter which has its location settings set to my local area.

I have tried logging in on multiple browsers, using the phone app, using multiple computers with different ISPs in different locations, it is always the same! I don't want my store to be located in Honolulu, I have BOUGHT hundreds of items form the Redding store and searched THOUSANDS of items for that store.

Please get to the bottom of this, I am getting very frustrated! Online is supposed to save me time and effort, this only sours the shopping experience and drives people to find other, working, alternatives!

Re: Incorrect Store Location When Logged In

I am having the same issue. I can watch my store location revert back after I change it just by sitting idle for 15 seconds. When I correct it,  as soon as I change the page it takes about 15 seconds and then it flips right back to the incorrect home store as if I refreshed the page.  Another serious concern is that even though I choose to block the request to detect my location bestbuy switches to a store in my area even when I'm browsing anonymously!! What's that about? I say no but it gets the info anyway??
