I'm having similar problems. I was on BestBuy.com and 12 hours later, my password wouldn't work. I changed the password and set up 2FA just to be safe even though there was no evidence of fraud. Ever since I've set up 2FA, I haven't been able to get into my BestBuy.com account. When I try to reset my password, it sends me a text, like I set it up to do, but after making a new password, it also then asks me for a code that it sent to my 'authenticator app'. I don't have an authenticator app- I never set one up and indicated in my account settings that I was to be sent codes by text only. I called their help number and was assured that I wasn't the only one having issues with sign ons and that I would receive an email in 3-5 days that would allow me to sign back into my account. It has been longer than 5 days with still no email in sight (and yes, I've been checking my junk email). I've spoken with some ITech folks where I work at and they said that that sounds like it's on BestBuy's end- something possibly wrong with the programing. 2FA and possibly something else, seems to be malfunctioning or not working with something as it should. Pleas help, BB- I'm tired of not being able to sign into my account.
