Purchased Macbook Pro for In-store pickup on Saturday, still "In Progress"

On Saturday November 11, 2019 at around 1:48 EST, my brother ordered a Macbook Pro for me to pick up in store. The order status page still says "In progress". I emailed the best buy store that I was supposed to pick it up at, and they said that this was because "Sometimes due to large purchases both best buy and customers respective banks can go through extended checks and validation to reduce the risk of fraudulent charges, etc." He recommended that I cancel the order and just buy it in store.

I don't want to do this, because (1) I asked my brother to order it so that he could get the rewards through his Best buy credit card (2) the macbook pro is no longer $300 off like it was on Saturday. And he can't just buy it in store for me because we live across the country from one another. Is there any way for him to verify this purchase to speed things along?
