Preordered iPad mini 5 - Shipping delayed for 5 weeks with no end in sight?

On March 22nd I preordered an Apple - Ipad mini (latest model) with Wi-Fi + Cellular - 256GB - Gold and have been waiting.  It's now over a month,  The order says it is still "delayed",  and I note that despite your  preorder policy which explicitly states:

 

"Will Best Buy charge my credit card for the item while it's delayed?

We won’t charge your credit card until the item is shipped."

 

I have my bestbuy credit card bill showing you've already charged me for it! And to top it off,  you're intending to cancel my preorder by April 29th if you can't ship it before then -- wiping out the good deal I got on it.

 

Why is it taking so long to ship?  Why did you already charge me for it? My order number is {removed per forum guidelines}

 

Please respond with how you plan to make me happy.  Up to now we've been very pleased with Best Buy, having spent several $1000's of dollars with you in just the last year.  What I want is my preorder filled ASAP for the price I paid on March 22 and  NO  cancellaiton on the 29th of April (since your website indicates you're going to have them in in mid May.  PLEASE RESPOND ASAP

Best Buy is not providing any updates on when it will be in inventory, not on the forum, not on the best buy HELP chat, not in the store. Dear Best Buy, start communicating! When will it be in inventory? Is it on back order? How much longer is this going to take. I'm waiting (with a lot of others) and y'all aren't generating any good will with stonewalling :-(
