Pre-ordered iPad Pro on 11-1...

I pre-ordered an iPad Pro 12.9 1TB ATT on 11-1 early in the day. I figured I wouldn't hear anything for some time. On the launch day, 11-7, the status changed to "In Progress". And as of right now, 11-9 at about 4:15PM I still have no update on it. I reached out to the customer service over the phone. According to them, Best Buy has no idea when I will get it. This is my second pre-order this year that I took a chance on Best Buy with, and they messed it up again. This lack of communication is infuriating and shows that Best Buy has no respect for thier paying customers.

Re: Pre-ordered iPad Pro on 11-1...

Posts here are answered in the order of their posting, it is not necessary to bump the post.

Looking over the information provided, it seems to be progressing using the standard steps. This new iPad has proven extremely popular the item will be fulfilled in the order it was placed. The status “in progress” will change once your order has been shipped. At this time, like the recent Apple Watch, demand for the new iPad Pro is far exceeding the shipments from Apple. The higher capacities are more constrained than the smaller capacities, and the cellular models even more so. Shipment times should improve as Apple determines which models are more popular, hopefully you’ll have an update soon.

Re: Pre-ordered iPad Pro on 11-1...

It is now the 11th. Best Buy still has no details on shipping times. BB must have a logistics team, right? Is everyone dropping the ball on communication? Why is it that Best Buy is okay with having zero idea on when they will receive their shipments so fulfill orders that paying customers have placed? If I was told from the get go that itd take 2 weeks or so to get it, or someone to tell me now a timeframe to expect it, I would be happier. Being kept in the dark with a nice chunk of my money floating in Best Buy coffers, this is unacceptable. A good relationship is built off of trust and communication, and there is 0% of that going on here!!!

Re: Pre-ordered iPad Pro on 11-1...

Hello Ayanami,

Welcome to the Best Buy Community forums. I apologize that you new iPad is taking longer to come in than expected.

We fulfill preorders in the order in which they were received as stock comes in to us. As I understand it, the cellular models are currently taking longer to arrive than hoped. Your best bet is to keep an eye on your order status page, and your email inbox. You should get an update once the iPad ships. That order status page will have the most up to date information about the current status of the order. We won’t have any details beyond what’s available for you there on our end.

Thank you very much for your feedback about the communication throughout this process. I really appreciate you sharing your perspective on that.

If there’s anything else I can assist you with, please let me know.

Sincerely,

Re: Pre-ordered iPad Pro on 11-1...

Okay, so today marks 2 weeks since the pre order and over a week since the launch of the product. Still no updates? Can I get some explanation on the poor communication? This is getting increasingly frustrating. I am honestly lost for words on the stunningly poor customer service I have expereinced with this purchase. And yet, less than two months ago I had a very similar fight when I pre-ordered the 512gb Note 9. Fool me once, shame on me, fool me twice, I need to stop trusting you.

Re: Pre-ordered iPad Pro on 11-1...

Bumping, I want an update on expected shipping times. Best Buy must have an approximate time that they will be recieving a shipment either from Apple or AT&T. I deserve some sort of explanation here on the exsessive delay.

Hello Ayanami-

Kyle-BBY has already provided you with Best Buy's official response on this concern.  We do not have any information we'd be able to provide regarding when your order would be fulfilled or when we expect to receive more stock from Apple.

Please monitor your order status for further updates.

Re: Pre-ordered iPad Pro on 11-1...

It's been 19 days since my preorder....

It's been 13 days since the product launched...

Please, just give your paying customers some kind of update! This is driving us nuts. Your poor responses of "Please keep an eye on your email" are truely frustraiting. I'm at my wits end with Best Buy over this. Exasperated and exausted. I was hoping to have it in time of getting to see my son over Thanksgiving, he is inheriting my old iPad Pro. I can't give it to him until I get my new one as I use the device for work. I am so dissapointed with Best Buy. Not over the time delay nessicarily but more so with the lack of communication. I wouldn't have told my son that he could have it if I wasn't going to have it before Thanksgiving, and saved it for Christmas.

The official answers provided by Bill-BBY and KyleR-BBY contain every bit of information we have as well as providing the best way to get updates.  They want you to keep an eye on the order because once there is new information, it will be provided there.  You can expect things to move very fast once we get the product into our supply channels, but until then it is a waiting game for all of us.
