Phone I haven't received, already activated?

Yesterday, I received noticed of my new plan via Best Buy Mobile & Sprint on the S10+ that has not even shipped to me yet. How is it that it's already "activated" and I'm already paying for a phone that I don't even have? It's still in "Preparing" mode according to order status.

Have been charged for activation fee.

Welcome back to the forum.  Like you, I generally wouldn't want to pay for something if I hadn't received it, so I can understand any concerns about being charged for an activation fee if your phone hasn't been shipped just yet.  I was able to locate your order using the email address you used when registering for our forum, but I'll still need to confirm a few pieces of information before I can share my findings with you.  When you can, please send me a private message that includes the following:
