POTENTIAL FIX: Self Service Unavailable When Trying to Update Payment Info for an Order

I recently had trouble with changing my payment method on a pre-order. When trying to do so, I would get an error message saying that Self Service is not currently available. Looking through the forums, it looks like many people have had this issue with no clear solution. Long story short, here's what I did to get around this:

1. Add an alternate payment method onto your account (in my case, it was a new card).
2. Try to update your payment info on your order again.
3. You should now be able to pick your newly added method of payment.

It seems to me that when you try to update your payment info on an order, a check is made to see of you have an alternate payment method available. If you have none, then the backend simply returns an error, therefore (incorrectly) telling you that Self Service is not available. Rookie programming mistake, but hey, what can you do.

I hope this post is helpful to at least some people.
