Order got cancelled but transaction was successful

Hi, I ordered a laptop for myself from my husband's MasterCard credit card on BestBuy online store, an hour ago. The transaction was successful & the order got confirmed. But after few minutes I got an email saying that my order got cancelled because you were unable to verify my information. Please tell me why it happened? What's the solution? How can I get the laptop or the money back?

Unfortunately, you won't be able to get help here on this account as you would not be the actual card holder. For security reasons, please have your husband create an account on this forum and inquire about it.

Since it was canceled, I doubt you'll be charged for it. If you were, it was likely temporary. That said, I can't guarantee that since their website is very glitchy right now & anything is certainly possible.

Yes we got the money back but I really want to buy that laptop & I can't opt for Amazon because I want it in like 3days. So BestBuy is the only option I guess (for free shipping & quick delivery) but I don't know if I should try again or drop the idea. Please help!

I apologize if it seems you're ignoring me, but Best Buy is going to come on here eventually and ask your husband to create an account on our forums since you directly admitted to using your husbands credit card on the forums. It looks like you may have come through the Facebook Community as your status said Visitor, but they are going to need an account to get assistance since it was their card. I apologize if I sound rude but I don't want you to wait, go through extra steps, etc. It's a security precaution Best Buy takes on the forums.

Okay, even my husband tried to order the laptop from his account & the same thing happened. The order got cancelled because of unable to verify information. Also he has posted on the forum but it's been two days and there's no response.

P.S- He works in India so going to Gwenett with him is not possible.

Now I have a better understanding of your situation. Even though you are getting this item in the United States, using an Indian credit card to make this purchase would qualify this as an international order. We have a few specific steps that he must take when placing international orders which are listed here.

 

The most important part is making sure the billing address used during check out is 10780 Kempwood Dr. Houston, TX 77043. Changing the billing address to this should let this order process normally.

Thank you very much. He was able to place the order and I picked up my laptop today from the store. I am happy Smiley Happy
