Order Stuck in Pre-Shipment Limbo

I placed an order last Friday, August 16 and was given a delivery date for today. I got an e-mail notifying me that the item had shipped on Friday, but I noticed the tracking never updated again when I would check it intermittently over the weekend. It still said "USPS awaiting item". I assumed I would not be getting it on the delivery date, but I waited until today just to be sure and, after the mailman had come and gone, contacted someone through the website chat option. After explaining my problem, they fed me the normal line about how tracking "takes a while to update" and the item would still be arriving today (right). Lo and behold, the item has not arrived; my mailman didn't magically return with an item that clearly hasn't actually been shipped 8 hours after he delivered our mail.


Look, accidents happen, but this is not an insignificant purchase and it's holding me up from selling my old unit (and thus potentially costing me money in addition to what I've already paid); I just want a little transparency and someone who actually is interested in dealing with the reality that there's been a problem to look into this for me. Thanks.
