Hello,
I placed an order back on January 1st during a sale for an elliptical that has been attempted to be delivered now 4 times. Each time I make arrangements to stay home to accept delivery to find out 30 minutes before the delivery window the delivery is canceled.
After speaking with someone in customer service, I was told it was canceled since the item was not at the warehouse. I guess it hasn't been at the warehouse for any of the delivery attempts. It seems Best Buy sold more units of the product than it had available, and instead of making me aware of this, had me allocate several hours of my time to make sure I would be available to accept delivery of a product Best Buy never had.
I was told today that the best course of action was to cancel my order and place an order for a different product since it would be very unlikely the warehouse would ever have the item in stock again. I ordered the item during a new years sale. Now due to no fault of my own, Best Buy is asking me to spend $500 more for a similar product because they oversold an item. This is ridiculous. I have never had an experience like this in the several years I have been a frequent customer and in my opinion, Best Buy should be embarrassed.
