Hello,

 

I ordered a Bosch dishwasher and it arrived damaged on 3/18/20.

 

The next day I called and had arranged for a replacement, I was told that this unit was "out of stock" and that the lead time for the replacement Bosch dishwasher was 4/13/20. 

 

This delay is a huge inconvenience for me and has caused a problem for me. I looked closer at the dishwasher and saw that the damage while not good was largely cosmetic. I installed the unit and it is running normally. I am ok to keep this unit as is - but am requesting a 20% credit for the damage. 

 

I called and spoke to someone today and was told - that he was unable to cancel the order for the replacement Bosch dishwasher... Why not? This is unacceptable to me as there's an easy solution here. The esitmated delivery time is still over 3 weeks, so it does not make sense why the order for the replacement dishwasher cannot simply be cancelled and a credit for the damage applied. Please HELP!

 

Please cancel the order for the replacement Bosch dishwasher. I do not wish to uninstall the working dishwasher and re-install the replacement dishwasher. Thank you, regards Joe {removed per forum guidelines}.

Hi Joe,

 

I truly do understand where you are coming from on this. Did you end up getting the second dishwasher order cancelled? Did you end up getting a discount on the damaged dishwasher you want to keep?

Hi Andrew,
I agreed to keep the damaged dishwasher and agreed to accept a Gift Card for the damage. However, after speaking w/ Miriam {removed per forum guidelines} on 3/30/20 and sending her a pic of the damage, I was told that the Gift Card would be for $150.... I just received an email today - credit for only $50...? Is that it? It's pretty unacceptable and I don't understand. Can you help me here? I don't feel like the remedy is fair here and am quite annoyed. Joe.

While receiving a damaged item is never ideal, I'm glad to hear we were able to find a resolution for you.
