I placed an order online while paying with a Bes Buy E-gift card and the order was cancelled due to failed authorization on the gift card. The gift card originally had $200 on it and now $0, it never got refunded.
It has been already 5 days after canlletion and nobody at Best Buy has been able to help. Went to the store...they washed their had stating that they do not have a way to see anything about online order using gift cards.
Talked to 3 representatives for more than 4 hours.... and they washed their hands stating that I have to contact the gift card department.
Opened a case and called the E-gift card customer service....they sent an email today stating that they cannot help.
What kind of scam is best buy running with the electronic gift cards?
I would like somebody from the Best Buy team to reach out to me and explain clearly where my money is and why I have not obtained the money back on the gift card.
This is unaceptable customer service.

This is exactly what happened to me last week. I used a $200 gift card to buy a PS4 and after completing the order, I received an email stating that there was an issue with the gift card stating "Failed Authorization".
Called Best Buy, for 3 hours on the phone with 3 different customer reps (very un-trained people) they simply washed their hands and told me to contact the E-gift customer reps.
Not only the phone number this number: E-Gift Cards - Call 1-866-308-6166 does not work, but I also sent an email to email@example.com and they simply responded today that they cannot help.
I have $0 on the gift card and no customer rep provided me answer.
On top of this, i visited my newarest BB store, and the customer representative stars they have working in there washed their hands even more by stating to me that they do not have a way to help since they do not see anything that happens in the background of online orders....
I can say 100% after this experience that Amazon will take over.

Thanks so much for joining the Best Buy Community forums. I appreciate you taking the time to post about this, and your patience in awaiting a reply in this busy time of year.
I'd be happy to look into that gift card for you. Please send in a private message by using the link in my signature below this post. If you include your name, email address, phone number, and order number, I'll do my best to get that refund pushed through.
