The good news is that I’m confident the iPad will get there much more quickly than that email indicates. Usually when that email goes out it is just a delay of a day or so. The most common scenario is that the product gets boxed up, but not in time for the carrier to pick up that day. The carrier will likely pick it up today, in that case. The system doesn’t know the reason for the item not being picked up, however, so it sends out that 30-day email.
Because the product is likely already packed up and waiting for the carrier, we would not be able to cancel the order at this time.
