You should probably read the information before posting incorrect replies. Bestbuy has ceased all support/shipping for military overseas. Overseas personel cannot order anything from bestbuy at all and i want a full explanation as to why.
Also in reference to the so-called "solution" you specified, that is perhaps the most asinine and wholly incorrect answer to the specified question from that post. I actually laughed when i read the "solution". It is basically made up information in a sad attempt to seem like they know what they are talking about.
Please don't troll peoples posts when you yourself dont have a clue.

We are temporarily unable to ship items to Army Post Office (APO) or Fleet Post Office (FPO) addresses. We apologize for any inconvenience.
As you should already be aware, carriers such as UPS and FedEx cannot ship to APO/FPO locations. Packages intended for military personnel must go through the USPS in order to reach their APO/FPO destinations. Best Buy is currently unable to utilize the USPS in this capacity, therefore effectively blocking our ability to reach APO/FPO addresses. Hope this helps clear up the concern.
As for the previously linked topic, it was specifically tied to items (Limited-supply Graphics Cards) that were not available for shipping anywhere and only available via in-store pickup. The information in that thread was also 100% accurate.

UPS mail innovations is what bestbuy has been using to ship overseas as it connects through USPS. Even if that is no longer available Bestbuy can simply do the standard thing which is mail directly through USPS, as they used to do some time ago. Basically Bestbuy made a deal with UPS and is not allowed to use other services but something has happened and instead of dealing with it they are just saying basically WHO CARES.
No other company seems to be affected by this.
The other post is pretty much the same as mine. They are fully available for delivery just not to overseas military addresses. It has nothing to do with supply and instore demand.
Come on, so to help with the pandemic they are only made available for pick-up orders? Really? The best option for pandemic prevention is to keep people from going out and to stores at all, so delivery would be the absolute best option.
While it is true that some products are typically made more available in store in the hopes that customers will come and make secondary purchases the fact is the main reason something cannot be shipped anywhere is because the remaining supply of products are in the store and generally stores don't ship products from web purchases.
Bottom line: if you input a US based address and its available to ship and then put in an overseas military address and it says not available (accounting for restricted items) then you know your getting shafted.
Again what i am looking for is a response as to WHY?
Shipping to military overseas is identical to anywhere in the US. The process is the same and the cost is the same the only difference is they may need to put a customs form on it.

These are some weird times, and a lot of stuff that we were so used to have completely changed in the last few months. I understand your frustration, but it's also no excuse to be rude to people on the forums that are just trying to help. The forums are peer to peer, I don't believe BestBuy will be giving any kind of real, official explanation here. The one about USPS and them being unable to use them right now is probably the best you will get.

Please don't Troll peoples posts, if you don't have anything of value to add to the conversation don't. There is nothing in my post that is rude to anyone. What is rude is injecting personal options and incorrect information into someones posting for which you have nothing of value to add. "Just trying to help" They posted very incorrect information that they clearly had no real knowledge about, as such they never should have posted anything. They didn't even bother looking at the bestbuy website which specified military shipping was not available anymore. They simply blurted out a bunch of non-sense. (FYI cards were available for shipping coast to coast just not military overseas). Bestbuy is not "UNABLE" to use USPS they have simply chosen not to and we deserve a reason as to why. My request was specifically targeted at Bestbuy and specifically for the purpose to inform the community of Bestbuy stopping support for ALL military overseas.
This has nothing to do with "weird times" as this issue with overseas shipping for the military is extremly recent and other companies don't seem to be having the same problem.
Aside from an offical response from Bestbuy my post should have no other posts except if someone found out specific info about the situation or requesting more information.
