No refund after it's processed

[ Edited ]

Actually I walked through Bestbuy dot com and found out that Arlo camera is on sale for $99 so I put my order in immediately and then I was waiting for it to arrive. But in fact the camera was missing from the package. I was confused and contacted a representative in no time. I was in a conversation with Samai (case id is {removed per forum guidelines}) and he told me that the refund was processed and the confirmation email should take place "soon" as he said. After a few hours I still didn't get it so I had another conversation later with Sukumar (case id {removed per forum guidelines}). He said the completely same thing that the refund is processed already and I should get a confirmation email. Obviously, I still haven't got any emails. It's actually been 2 days since my first contact. Looks like there's some issue with processing it. I need help please.

Re: No refund after it's processed

Hi, MikelandQ,

Welcome to the Best Buy Forums!

I would be incredibly frustrated if I did not receive the item I had ordered as well. Typically when a refund is submitted the credit happens shortly after, however it can take up to one full billing cycle for your financial institution to reflect the credit on the balance of your account. I would be happy to look into the status of the refund for you. Can you send a Private Message with the information below so that I can look up your My Best Buy account? You should be able to send a Private Message by clicking the button to the right of my signature below!

Re: No refund after it's processed

Update:

Josh wasn't able to help in anyway at all.

After a few days I got a message saying they won't refund me. That's it.

They asked for a picture of the package and of course I don't have it since I was told twice (!!!) that the refund is processed so I threw it since we don't keep garbage in the house.

That's just a hundred bucks purchase and I'm happy that I didn't buy something expensive but anyways I will now go ahead and file a complaint at my local post office since I paid for nothing and I'll also file a complaint with better business bureau with hope that everyone would know that BestBuy isn't responsible for their own packages and exactly in the moment of paying to them they're just leave you alone with any concerns.

Another update:
I’ve filed a police report with my local police station and also filed a Better Business Bureau complaint number: {removed per forum guidelines}

I will let everyone here know when I get an update from the police or BBB.

Re: No refund after it's processed

Update after 2 weeks:
I’m still out of $100. I’m now in process of disputing with Better Business Bureau and with law enforcement. The officer told me that there’re no any evidences that the item was in the box in time of delivery as he concluded and also he told me that it’s common issue with Best Buy so he wasn’t surprised at all. I’m in such hustle for weeks now and thanks God I bought a $100 item, not some $1000. Anyways I’ll continue do everything to get the justice. I will keep updating this thread.
