Id like to know where my order is????
I found it odd from the start the date was 11 days on a first class package that should take 1-3. And it was mailed on the 1st. The tracking just stops and says late on a 16 trip not happy a 800 dollar phone is not only bouncing around the usps but is even later than 11 days!!!
Secondly im not happy to price match this phone i went through about 6 different chat techs, the find out it didnt go through the first time, then told it takes a month to get the match. Wth its a best buy card and although on paper it might take a month, it should take a month to see a credit to my card online. I will never do this again and if this phone isnt here by wednessday its going back.
What a hassle. Could of had this cheaper from walmart lastweek!!!!

It updated yesterday and is still 8 hours away from its 16 hour away trip.
Still no credit to my best buy card. That being said i did not like any part of this price match. I was told it was an item eligible for a match but that I had to add a full priced item to the cart myself. I could not add the $300 cheaper version because i dont need a new carrier or contract.
so i put a $800 phone in my cart, am charged $800, and regardless if my match ever shows up will be paying interest on $800.
like i said, i could of just ordered it from walmart at the even cheaper price, no extra interest and a week sooner.

Thanks but no need, I'll watch my statement and call if i need to.
The problem I have is the system and the lack of information that the actual discount takes this long to get and is not instant.
It written like is just easy as 123 to get a price match once you can show the competitors price. It said nothing about me having to buy the item full price and then wait til who knows when to get reimbursed. In some cases in other posts it's never and some people were waiting for 2,500.
It would be different if i had paid cash at a store and then later saw a price drop and had no access to a store and had to wait for a check.
The item should of been entered as an order by the company support with the discount price from the start like every other place does. Or support should be given the ability to do so if they can't which sounds like the case.
This is more of a refund, as it wasnt some after the fact price match request I saw after buying something.
Had many years dealing with companies Compaq, HP, Futureshop. This is probably the only time I've seen a company's support unable to authorize or do anything on thier own with all these huge time delays or no amswers for everything.
I can only assume this is how the company has everything set up and I don't really blame the "specialists" on here, because I've gone through a number of posts and it's all flattery, quide lines and can't do anything for you.

I do not blame the support people as I am sure they are doing exactly what they are hired to do....
I found a phone at Walmart.com that I wanted and It was on sale. I have a BestBuy credit card and figured I'd try the price match as I can get no interest options with my bestbuy credit card. The closest BestBuy store is 1.5 hours away and they do not have the phone in stock, but I see you can price match online.
I copy the Walmart url and contact the BestBuy chat with the url. I talk to the support person and he says he will check, "good news" the phone is eligible for a price match. He needs a minute to get it authorized. but he requires That I add the phone to my BestBuy order cart!!!
This is where it all goes down hill FUN TIMES #1.
There are two options for this phone listed, unlocked with carrier 499.00 or later 799.00. He repeat 3-4 times I need to add the phone to my cart, he can not do it from his terminal. I keep telling the guy there is no option to add the phone except without carrier for 799.00. The chat stops, and still stops and still stops.
Then about 4-5 support names connect and disconnect to the chat real quick. Now a new guys pops up and asks can I help you?
Now I have to explain what just happened. Not a problem, he goes through the same exact thing the previous one did, checked the phone to get a price match etc "good news" its approved, BUT I still have to add the 799.00 phone as he can not do anything until after he can see the order.
SO I hit the purchase button so he can see the order and from there it sounds like he is going to edit it for the price match, FUN TIMES #2.
At this point he says a est 250.00 credit will be issued to my card and thanks for the purchase, do I need anymore assistance, I say no and thank him.
I'm thinking credit issued back???? EST time of arrival March 11th, I'm also thinking 11 days? on first class USPS that takes 1-3 usually. I email the chat transcript to myself.
I go check my Bestbuy card it shows 0 balance, The phone ships the same day.
The next day it still shows 0 balance, and the next day. The 4th day a charge of 720.00 shows up and there is no credit.
Now I'm a bit mad.
I contact support via chat again who tells me there was a technical glitch and the price match did not go through but not to worry he will reauthorized it. After a minute he said its all good to go, I should see a credit UPTO the next billing cycle.
I'm thinking wth, I have to wait a month to see a price match ??refund?? I email the chat transcript to myself.
What I didn't realize at the time was on march 1st after the order was approved, placed and shipped but I had gotten a email that said, after further checking, the at price match will not be honored as the competitor is out of stock.
I'M like WTH, how are you going to have someone buy a full priced item, say it's price matched, let it ship and then have some person you never even talked to say they won't honor the price match. Some glitch right?
I'm not super worried yet.
I read a couple posts how people get their match in hours to a couple of days, then I see some that after months have never gotten it back. I've been watching the tracking too.
Day 1: Corpus Cristy Texas it is scanned in 4 times before it finally leaves the USPS HUB. package has left but is arriving later than expected. This is 16 hrs away from me.
Day 5: In transit arriving late.
Day 6,7,8: no change.
OH no payment due by the 9th, not even a month and I have to make a payment.
Day 10: made a payment and no change on shipping.
DAY 11: In transit arriving late.
Now I'm mad and come to the forums.
I make a post where is my package???? and to reiterate how unhappy I am about this so called price match experience. Then get a reply how disappointing my dilemma is etc but have I contacted the USPS?? WHY DO I need to contact them, your company sent the package. No offer of help on either issue.
Day 11 update: Arrived at USPS Regional Destination Facility SAINT LOUIS MO NETWORK DISTRIBUTION CENTER. The state I am in and 4 hours away.
Maybe I jumped the gun about getting my package? It should be on its way to my town right??
I start reading a lot of posts on the forums and see all the smurf village replies. What a super joy joy fantastic awesome fun purchase you've made mr/mrs X, We know how disappointed X can be and we are sorry for your experiences, we too just bought X for our family/sister/brother/self/mother/kids/wife/husband but we can not expedite/change/help or do anything other than what you've already done.
Seriously find the birthday coupon price match post it is a riot to read. ALSO see a lot of people who never got refunds months later.
Day 12 update: Leaving at USPS Regional Destination Facility SAINT LOUIS MO NETWORK DISTRIBUTION CENTER 4:55am.
Day 12: I start commenting on posts because I can't believe they pay people to represent themselves as Bestbuy support but have no power to do anything but write sympathy replies.
Day 12: Arrived at USPS Regional Facility DES MOINES IA NETWORK DISTRIBUTION CENTER. WTH why is it in another state 16 hours later??????????
Now I'm irate and still no credit and the full priced phone on Bestbuy.com has dropped from 799.00 to 550.00.
I am thinking maybe the price match failed again so I go get on the chat again. I explain what is going on and ask him to look up the price match, INSTEAD he looks up the Bestbuy site and sees the price drop and matches that because he comes back saying it's approved for a drop in price and I will see a credit on my next billing cycle.
I try to explain there was already a price match but he doesn't seem to understand so i close the chat and sent myself the transcript.
Hey funny though, the price drop was put as credit the next day, which makes 0 difference as its still more expensive than Walmart. still nothing from the price match.
Next day I get on chat again because I want to know for sure the original price match went through, I'm assured again it will show up on my next billing cycle, which is the 17th.
Day 14: Arrived at USPS Regional Destination Facility KANSAS CITY KS NETWORK DISTRIBUTION CENTER. AWESOME yet to another state.
Day 15: in Transit to Next Facility
Day 16: Departed USPS Regional Destination Facility KANSAS CITY KS NETWORK DISTRIBUTION CENTER
So tomorrow when I have no price match credit, on top of being less $50 for having to make a card payment and my package has gone to Alaska, New York, Florida, Guam, the moon.
Cause everyone knows it won't be damaged at all by USPS after days and days of going from one place to the next, if it even ever shows up. Maybe Bestbuy should spend a little more on shipping instead of using stage coaches and carrier pigeons.
17th I will be ordering the phone from someone else even cheaper then Bestbuys "alleged" price match did from the start and be making official complaints to BBB, Corporate Head Quarters in writing with the transcripts Besybuy altered and claiming fraudulent credit card charges.
BTW anyone who uses the chat be warned, when you send the chat transcripts they replace numbers with $XXX.XX specifically Prices numbers and a few other things.
