Need to get my credit restored

I ordered a Bosch dishwasher on May 20. It was and still is on back order due to the pandemic. Every week from that date to just a few weeks when I cancelled the item my credit card was charged for the item. While the charge remained in pending status, that was enough to lower my credit score by 10 points. I tried talking to your customer service dept but they dont seem to understand what I am talking about. I dont think its fair for me to get my credit card lowered beacause your systems can't handle the backlog situation. I would like my credit restored due to your negligence on this problem. I think I understand your issue, but I don't think Best Buy has any power to fix it. The pending charge on the credit card and how long it stays there is up to the card issuer and/or your bank, and the credit score disputes are handled by credit bureaus individually, you have to open a case with each one of them. Also keep in mind, your credit score always fluctuates by few points here and there, it's completely normal and it will get back to normal on its own after a little while, so unless you're in the middle of a major purchase like a house, you shouldn't have to worry about it too much.

First of all, I apologize for our having not been able to secure the dishwasher for your order. I'm further disappointed to hear that you were ultimately compelled to cancel your order, though I can understand why you came to that decision. Additionally I am at a loss to explain the activity you've described on your credit card statement. Certainly it is not our goal to create complications with your purchases and I regret that appears to have been the case.


drumn_bass offers some good insights. To my understanding, Best Buy does not have any interaction with the credit bureaus. I recommend contacting your credit card issuer for further assistance and, if needed, the credit bureaus as well.
