I chatted with a representative a few days ago to ask for a price match on Amazon’s pricing of Animal Crossing: New Horizons. The representative would not do this.
My order also had yet to actually ship. The warehouse purchased the label and then did not ship the item. It arrived today, a day after release. I knew it would NOT arrive on release, as UPS states that things shipped via UPS ground will arrive in 3+ days across the US.
With these two things in mind, I told the representative to cancel my order and that I will be ordering the item on Amazon, where it was cheaper. The representative refused to cancel it, even though I adhered to Best Buy’s cancellation policy, and I informed him I would be returning the product immediately. It is ridiculous that these things would happen when I preordered this item in early February and had since paid for it, in full. There is no reason I should have received this kind of service.
The item is unopened and undamaged, of course, and I would love to return the pre-order bonus as well whenever it arrives. The $10 Reward certificate from this purchase has not been spent and, as such, that is also fine to take back. I am not interested in anything other than a full refund to the original payment method and I am especially not interested in purchasing anything else from Best Buy in the foreseeable future. This is yet another in the long list of poor customer service experiences.
I expect no deductions from the $48.14 order total and, again, I expect a FULL REFUND. If there are any deductions made, I will be informing my financial institution immediately to handle the issue. I am not interesting in arranging a drop-off and, instead, I would like for UPS to pick this return up themselves. As you know, there is currently a pandemic in the United States and I cannot travel with my compromised immune system.

We are typically only able to cancel an order within 30 minutes of it being placed which is why the previous agent was unable to cancel this as requested. While we would be unable to arrange for this to be picked up, you can print our a return shipping label here.
