My order is very late

my dad ordered some airpods for my birthday on April 9th and supposedly they where arriving my home at April 12th, which was perfect because on April 15th I was leaving for vacation. they never arrived so I checked the order status in best buy's website and allegedly my order 'was on progress' and they'd let me know when it was shipped. it's April 20th now and the order still hasn't been shipped yet and is really frustrating because it's been over eleven days, I hope someone can give me some explanation. if so, I can provide my order number.

Our Customer Care team can be reached on the phone at (888) 237-8289. We would be happy to review the order with him, and make sure that there isn't anything holding it up from processing through.

Without reviewing the order, it's difficult to say what may have happened. In many cases, if an order unexpectedly goes into a backorder status, cancellation of the order may be a possibility.
