Missing package?

I posted this in the wrong section a few hours ago, re-posting here:

 

I placed an order 2 days ago with a scheduled delivery set for today. I received a text saying that the package was delivered and "Left at Front Door" but this is a 6-story building. I checked outside my apartment, the lobby, main entrance and there is nothing out there. I went in a few circles on the site trying to find "Help" and using the "Contact Us" links...now I'm here and trying to figure out what to do next. Thanks for anyone's help...

 

Also, according to FedEx:  "Our records indicate this package has been delivered. If a FedEx delivery signature option is not selected, FedEx may deliver to a residential address without obtaining a signature. FedEx does not accept liability for loss or damage due to releasing such packages."

Thank you for taking the time to stop by our community forums. I know I keep a close eye on any tracking information and would start looking as soon as I saw a package was delivered. I chatted with a representative last night and they said to wait until today saying it may still show up, but it did not. And yes, I checked everywhere possible - this is a 6-story building with 10 apartments per floor, not a private house. There are occasionally packages left in the lobby near the mailboxes, so I checked there too.

Now, I'm not sure what to do. I tried to start a claim with FedEx while I waited, but got the message: "Our records indicate this package has been delivered. If a FedEx delivery signature option is not selected, FedEx may deliver to a residential address without obtaining a signature. FedEx does not accept liability for loss or damage due to releasing such packages. Please refer to the FedEx Service Guide for additional details."

I ordered something else with another family member about 2 weeks ago (Order # {removed per forum guidelines}) and signed for that one when it arrived. I didn't have the option to request Siganture Service on either order..just thought it was standard. Why wasn't it part of this current order like the one 2 weeks ago? What's the next step?  Thanks...
