Missing PayPal refund from a return

Hi Customer Support,

I returned an item in store on Monday, January 7th and the agent told me that I will be getting a refund within 24 hours. After 24 hours, I still didn't get my refund so I decided to call the Customer Support and he told me that he will process it and will send me a confirmation email. However I still haven't received any email until now.

I'm getting more frustrated when seeing a lot of people on this forum got the same problems since I didn't expect the return process to be this complicated. Can someone verify if my return is in process and give me an usual estimated time for this?

Re: Missing PayPal refund from a return

The agent may not have relized it was PayPal when they said that.

PayPal can be an odd entity in that sometimes a straight refund does not work and it has to go through an electronic check with can take several days.

Did you have the funds available in  your PayPal account when you made the purchase or is your PP account linked to a checking/savings/credit card account?

If the funds were directly taken from one of those accounts to cover the PayPal purchase that could be the reson why.

Re: Missing PayPal refund from a return

Hey there, Melodicosmic,

Refunds processed to PayPal can take on average 30 days to process back to your account, depending on several factors including the card company attached to your PayPal.

While we do not anticipate any issues with this, if you have not seen your refund after 30 days, please do let us know.

All the best,
