Lost Package, Delivery instruction not followed. "Inveistigation Complete" No Refund.

On Aug, 25 i made an intial first time $544.36 ({removed per forum guidelines}) purchase for my business, for an HP laptop. I am tax exempt approved and I planned on ordering more PCs, Laptops, and Printers for the office. But thank god I didnt. I get delivers all the time and as such there a clear not right on my door, above the door bell to PLEASE RING THE BELL, as the office is on the top flor of a private house in Bronx, where Porch pirates are the norm. My co-worker was in the office during the time of delivery, and THERE WAS NO RING ON THE DOOR. Needless to say, I was very surprised to see the email "proof of delivery" that night (see attached picture, home number blacked out for privacy, red circle indicates note to ring bell). Who ever deilveryed the pacage clearly left in on the proch at and angle thats clearly visable from the street, and didnt bother to take the extra secound to walk in and push the box to the left, away from prublic view, or EVEN RING THE DOORBELL. Im not sure who delivered the box, but it's clearly not a Proffesinal, b/c even my the local mail main has the decency to push a package a bit further in to avoid theft.

 

BBY told me to contact my local law enforcemnt and all they had me do was file a picece of paper that they will be too bust to look it. It also took best buy from aug 27 to 09/19/22 to finish thier "invistgation". so the police have no hope of finding any clues, and thats if they even bother with looking at my clompliant, which they wont, B/c this the Bronx and they have actauly crime to deal with.

 

I've all like BBY, and they thier stores are top notch. but I can't belive thier giving me such a hard time over $544, espcailly when Im a comercail customer. Well I hope it was worth it, becuase I will filing a complaint with BBB, NYC-DCA, and Disputing the charge with my Crdeit Card Comapny. New-Egg, Staples, and Walmart Only from now on. Ridiculous.

 

Edit: I as unable to attach the picture, but i can email it to anyone that needs to see it, and BBY should have it in thier system aswell

Update:

I provided a Police Report,

Footage of the pacage being taken from my porch due the delivery personel leaving it at a comprimising angle and not ringing the doorbell.

But still BBY has not claimed responsability and basically told me agian to "follow up with local authorites", as if i have a chance of recoveing anything that way. I dont understand how a company can delivery an item to an area where theft is common, not follow the instructions posted in the delivery area, then not take responsabilty when the laptop gets stolen. This is unbelievable. In addition I dont even know who the carrier is so I cant follow up with them either.

Do yourself a favor and order direct for manufactures, thier customer service + refund policy is much better and you'll get the same deals anyway.

Update 2: turn out The package was delivered by Best Buy One Day Delivery. bascally a Best buy emplyee sent to deliver the laptop did not walk the 2 extra steps to ring the door bell, even when instructions WERE CLEARLY POSTED (as seen in the picture the BBY delevery person took). To make up for the fact that a Best buy employee was directly responsible for put in my product in danger of being stolen by not following directions in an area where theft is common, means BBY should better train thier delevery personal and Offer me a refund.

 

but of course theyll make me go through the credit card comapny first.
