Item is "14690001" concerning Windows S mode. Spent hours last night trying to get second monitor (Asus ZenScreen) we bought to work with the laptop, but Windows S mode was preventing me from installing the necessary drivers to get it to work. Couldn't disable S Mode initially because Windows didn't actually "activate" properly, which initially led me to beleive that the version of Windows was intentionally locked to S mode. Once I realized the actual issue, I was able to turn off S mode and install the driver. Monitor worked fine.
Was mostly upset because too many anti-competitve and anti-consumer practices on the part of tech companies like Microsoft are working their way into normalcy and as Joe Blow consumer, you feel powerless and lash out.
