International order; local shop personal pickup - order cancelled

Hi

 

As I'm visiting USA I wanted to order an item for in-shop personal pickup.

 

Using guidance provided by International Orders page I've put a billing address of: 10780 Kempwood Dr. Houston, TX 77043 and pickup address of: local bestbuy SAN FRANCISCO CA, 1717 Harrison St, San Francisco, CA 94103. Unfortunately the order has been cancelled (I could see that my card was charged for an item and refunded later so card is not a problem). 

 

The only reason that may be relevant is that I could not provide a proper phone number as there is no option of giving international phone (this requires at least 11 digits while BestBuy accepts only 10 digits).

 

My questions:

1. How to properly place an order

2. What to do with phone number (currently I can't use any US number)

You could always setup a Google Voice number for the USA and use that i suppose. . But you would have to document that number with your card issuer as things has to match up. 

 

Are you able to call the USA number for assistance in this matter?

In order to place an order successfully, you will need a valid US-based phone number. You may be able to use the phone number of the location you are staying while visiting. That may allow your order to go through. 


If that doesn’t work, would it just be possible to purchase the item in person while you’re here? That may be the easiest way to make your purchase if online orders keep getting cancelled.


If that isn’t an option, please send me a private message through the link in my signature with your name, email address, phone number, and most recently cancelled order number. I can check the order out and see if I can offer any advice.
