Incredibly angry over return wait time and keeping $900+ hostage!

Id like to start off by saying I am not an easily angered individual but THIS situation has gone over board and I am now ticked off. I ordered a graphics card on 06/17/19(!) and when I had a chance to grab and open the package it was a completely different item so me being eager to finish my computer setup I called as soon as I had the chance and let them know what happened. I was specifically told to return the item with the provided shipping label and once received I would get a refund. 2 weeks go by after taking care of the process I call they verify they received and was now told that it could take up to one billing cycle from my credit cards cycle. So I wait a month and STILL NOTHING. So to cut things short I basically call atleast once a week sometimes 2 times and I literally get a different response everytime. One person says the money's on its way the other says that I should be receiving an email in 2 days, a supervisor GUARANTEED That I would get a call from their back team (that apparently has no Goddam phone to call) IN ABOUT ONE DAY AND NOTHING HAPPENED!! I AM FURIOUS. I have been getting tossed around like a dam rag doll with no clear answer as to where my money is. It is now 08/15/19, basically 2 months and best buy has had $900+ of my money held freaken hostage.<br>I have filed a dispute with my credit card company (was even told to do this by 2 best buy customer services reps because they had NO idea what was going on). This is beyond ridiculous.

Welcome to our community forums and thank you for taking the time to let us know about this refund. While it can take up to one billing cycle for refunds to be available in your account two months does seem far too long. I know if I were in your shoes I would want to know exactly what was happening as well. I'd certainly like to take a closer look at this to see exactly what has been happening. To update on the situation. I privately mesasged this andrewb person to think he was going to actually and finally help me with my ridiculous situation. But i should have known that he would be no help but i guess the only good thing about getting in contact is that he out of all the millions of times i have called bestbuy was finally able to provide me with an answer and that is basically saying that they believe they sent the correct the item hence why they cant refund me my money. HAHA this is beyond stupid and ridiculous. Bestbuy expects me to say yes and just stay with an item i did not even order and i am now out over $900. Thank goodness for credit card disputing and will never shop at bestbuy again. Such moronic staff that cant give me a goddamn answer until 2 months later and from a rep on the forums. What a dam joke.
