I purchased an HP desktop online, I was excited when it came so fast but soon found out it was the wrong computer. First off, there was nothing in the box that even said which model computer I got. The only reason I knew was because it was black and I knew the computer I ordered only came in white/silver. I'd like to point out I only knew that because I had been in a store recently and an employee told me. So there are several ways I could have easily not even noticed this was the wrong computer. I was sent a cheaper computer that I paid more for, I almost wonder if this is some sort of weird scam set up. Not only that but after getting on the phone with bestbuy right away that night, I was told they would open a case for my reshipment and it would take 48-72 hours. Well here I sit 96 hours later, still have no answer as to what is going on and when I called yesterday I was just told it was still being looked into even though it was already 72 hours later. What are they even looking into?!? I BOUGHT THE COMPUTER, SEND ME THE RIGHT ONE. It feels like I'm getting the run around here and I'm starting to wonder if I'll even get the correct computer after seeing a lot of people say that they've had issues with bestbuy not wanting to help them. The computer I was supposed to get is currently out of stock, which also worries me because I have a feeling they might tell me it's going to be a while before I can get it. Either way, something needs to be done to resolve this issue that THE COMPANY itself messed up. I've always been a big fan of bestbuy but I have to say this is really putting a bad taste in my mouth for any future purchases.

I was told today that they have until tomorrow ( the original shipment day ) to get a reshipment in order. The correct computer is currently unavilable. My question with that though is why was I even able to buy this computer online if it's sold out everywhere. I really don't get it....

Thank you for posting on the Best Buy forums. Receiving one computer, when you think you should be getting something else would absolutely be disconcerting, and I understand wanting to get to the bottom of it.

I was already refunded for the computer because the one I actaully ordered was never in stock. Not sure why I was able to purcahse a computer that is sold out everywhere. Pretty frustrating, like I said in my original post it's also upsetting to see that there was no clear indication of which model computer I got and since they really are almost the same on the outside I could have very easily paid for a more expensive computer and got a cheaper one instead. Yes they refunded me, but they didn't offer anything else and it kind of seems like this happens often. I'm not sure if I'll trust to do buisness with bestbuy again.
