I constantly need to reset my password when I log in.

For the past several days I just cannot log in to BestBuy.com on FireFox. It will say it can't verify me. I downloaded Chrome and can only get as far as it makes me change my password but then I have to change my password every single time I open the browser. The app works fine, but I don't do my shopping through apps, I prefer to do it on my desktop PC.

 

I have Googled this and I'm definitely not the only person this happens to. I've read other threads by people with the same issue to see what kind of replies they were getting, so to help speed up the process I will get this out of the way:

No, I'm not using a VPN.

Yes, I have cleared both of my browsers' cache and cookies and still the issue occurs.

Welcome, and thank you for reaching out to us, though I wish it were under better circumstances. Logging into BestBuy.com is often the easiest way to shop with us online. While using the app can work in a pinch, some things are just easier to do in a desktop browser, so I can imagine how difficult it would be to have to reset your password consistently.

 

While I'm glad to hear you've cleared your browsing data as well as ensured you're not using a VPN, there are some other factors that may be causing this issue. I would encourage you to review the list below. 

 

- Ensure you are manually entering the password, as saved passwords may be outdated

- Ad-blockers are turned off

- Not using a hosting service

- Using a private network (not a public Wi-Fi spot such as in a cafe)

After waiting a few more days the issue seemed to fix itself, I guess. I didn't do anything differently but suddenly it started to allow me to sign in as normal. This also happened a couple of years ago too.

Well as of two days ago it started happening again. I have to change my password every time I want to check my account.

Please make sure you aren't using any VPN service, as that can cause this.
