I ordered a headset on November 25th, a label was created on November 26th, and was told the item would arrive on December third.
UPS took a while to update the tracking, and said the item's label was created on the 26th. The estimated delivery time is now gone from Best Buy's website but it states the item has been shipped to the store I asked to have it shipped to (a CVS) for pick up. However, UPS states that the label was ONLY created, so I would like to know if Best Buy has really shipped my item or if only the label has been created.
I don't want to later find out that CVS may have my items already and then it gets returned when I don't pick up within 7 days just because I wasn't notified via e-mail.

I completely understand if the delay is due to holiday, covid and black friday, would simply like some clarification on how Best Buy's shipping works and why the item is marked as shipped, when only the label being created is reflected since it has been over two weeks, and basically 17 days since purcharse or 10 days since I was told my item would arrive.

Tis the season for package delays I am afraid. Unfortunately, in this age of COVID 19 UPS and other delivery courriers are being slammed with deliveries.
Just last week I placed an order for 1 day shipping with Amazon Prime only to learn that there was a shortage and backlog of packages in my area so they had to use another warehouse in another state in order to ship the item to me and ship it UPS.
Unfortunately, with UPS, They can only travel at the speed they are bound to for safety so it takes awhile and perhaps a couple of trips to places otherwise it should not go to, to comply with the speed of service paid.
If it is being shipped to the store you will receive a pickup is ready email and you can go curbside with your pickup if you want so you don't have to go into the store in order to protect you and your loved ones.
If you have a UPS My Choice account which is free to sign up for, you can actually redirect your own packages if the carrier and seller allows it. Not all sellers will allow redirects due to the value of high dollar items and other expensive things if you know what I mean.

I understand UPS delays, but the issue lies with Best Buy and not having even shipped the item from their warehouse yet.. since UPS states they're still waiting for my item. Normally I wouldn't be so worried, but from the looks of it I'm not the only one having issues with update of status and that can lead to issues in the future i.e.
not being sent the package at all, not being notified if the item is delayed at all (which I haven't been)
and then potentially losing over 100dllrs due to Best Buy's irresponsibilty.
To put simply, I don't feel like I should have to wait the 30 days (it's already been 12 days, almost 2 weeks) to see if they even SEND an item fromt heir warehouse.
Since I feel I should call my bank before it's too late and I can't get a refund.
I've had a couple of bad and irresponsible bad experiences with Best Buy before, was hoping that wouldn't be the case this time around, but their customer support, or lack of thereof, legitimately makes me nervous.

Thank you for looking into this! I have no issue with waiting, I'm just nervous at being told that my item has been marked as shipped and UPS not reflecting that, with potentially missing out the pick up point or time period for my package to be sent out in the event that there's an oversight.
