Got Doubled Charged

Hi all, I recently pre ordered Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order and for some reason I got double charged, or at least I think I did. I went to check my bank account when I first pre ordered a I was automatically instantly charged and checked later to see that it was still charged. Fast forward to today, I go to see that the transaction doesn't show up in my account and the money was still taken. I checked the night before and it was reasonably fine, since today I recieved a notification that the game had shipped and now it seems the $65 I originally was charged is missing. Am I out of whack or is this normal?

Thanks for reaching out to us here on the Forums! 

 

I would be shocked to see two charges on my account too, and I appreciate you bringing this to our attention so we can try and help you out. Allow me to explain what I think may be going on. The first charge that you had seen may have actually been just an authorization hold to assure that the funds were available to allow the order to continue processing. When the order was marked as shipped, this authorization hold should have dropped off, and an actual physical charge should have then taken place. 

 

Let me know if that makes sense or if you have any additional questions or comments. I hope that this helps shed some light on what may have happened.

Hello,

While I do somewhat understand the merit of this, I still am missing $65 that should be there. I currently had $1297 last night which is what was after the authorization and now have $1232. Should I be expecting any reimbursement or something in that fashion?

It may be that the authorization is set to expire at a date that may be later than today. If you can send me a private message with your full name, email address, phone number and order number. I'd be happy to take a look into it for you to double check that everything is as it should be.

Authorization Charge still there

So I had a problem last week where I got double charged and had been told that it would expire on November 19th but it's been 3 days and still not gone. Would I need to file a report now?
