Gift cards failed authorization

Hi, I was trying to purchase and item using a few gift cards. When I was entering in the gift card so we're showing them out each one had and it was deducting it from the total to where I only owned about $5 out of pocket. After everything went through and I get the confirmation email only one of the gift cards actually processed and all the rest said failed authorization and now say it has a zero amount on every one of the gift cards. Looking through the forums I see this is a scarily common occurrence and I would appreciate any help getting this straightened out.
