Gift card failed authorization

One of the gift cards I used in a purchase got an error message "Failed authorization". I'm pretty sure there's a balance however after this error message the balance of this gift card suddenly became 0. The funds on the gift card were deducted and never get back.

 

I've experienced the same issue three times and I contacted customer service but nobody actually solved my problem. I suffered a huge loss.

 

I've read many other posts on this forum of people having the same issue. Just wondering who can take care of my problem and how it will end.
