Gift Card not refunded after Canceled Order

Hello,

I placed an order yesterday on bestbuy.com and paid with an e-gift card. I was emailed that there was an issue processing the gift card and was given no option to fix the issue. I ended up canceling the order with the intention of using th gift card in a store. But when checking the balance of the gift card, the bestbuy website says $0.00 even though I have confirmation the order was canceled.

The email I received said I would be refunded immediately but that hasn’t happened.

Thanks for reaching out to us on the Forums! I can definitely understand the disappointment when checking your gift card balance and finding that it is at $0. That's no fun at all, and I'm glad that you reached out so that we can take a closer look into this.

 

Orders typically aren't charged for until they're shipped or picked up, and refunds do go back to gift cards within 24 hours or so. It definitely sounds like something odd is happening with your order, and I'd be happy to help.
