Fraudulent Purchase

Hello,

 

There are 2 unathorized orders that were placed on my Best Buy account & Best Buy credit card, a few days ago.  The orders are {removed per forum guidelines} and {removed per forum guidelines}.  I absolutely did not place these orders. This is completely fraudelent. There was a large purchase of an Apple MacBook Pro which was apparently delivered to a closed business location in Garden Grove, CA. I live in a different city. I have tried for 4 days to to reach your customer service agent(s) by phone but I have not been able to get through. I have waited more than an hour to try to reach a servce agent, and have been disconnected numerous times by your automated phone system.  I have also visited my local best buy store, and they they are telling me that they cannot help me because they cannot access my best buy credit card account. 

 

In the meantime I canceled a couple items from the above orders,  on bestbuty.com. It would not allow me to cancel all the items, even thought they had not shipped yet.

At this point, I have changed by Best Buy credit card online password and removed the card as a payment on my Best Buy account. And lastly, I used your automated phone service to report my card as stolen, even though I still have it. I have ran out of options on what to do!

Please, I need this investigated and the charged dollar amounts refunded back to my credit card. Thank you.

Thank you for taking the time to our community forums. I keep a close eye on the charges made to my account and I know I would be surprised to see orders I didn't make. I would certainly be glad to give you some information on how we can best assist you moving forward.

 

I'm glad to hear that you have already reported this credit card as stolen. I would also recommend changing the password on your My Best Buy account as well as any other accounts that may share that password. Alerting your local law enforcement is also recommended.
