Re: Fraud on my master card

You should report it to your card company as fraud, they will handle the rest. In that process, they will likely reach out to Best Buy for any details that they may have.

Re: Fraud on my master card

As I said you've taken the correct steps, the card company will partner with Best Buy for any details that they need to complete the fraud claim.  There is no one on the forums who can assist with this, continue working through your card company to complete the process.

Re: Fraud on my master card

Here's a link to the sticky post for Unauthorized Orders:

https://forums.bestbuy.com/t5/BestBuy-com/Help-with-Unauthorized-Orders-on-BestBuy-com/td-p/1059073

It lists all the steps you should follow.  After you have notified your card company and local law enforcement, you can notify 1-888-BestBuy of the fraudulent charge.  There is no guarantee that an order will be canceled, especially if the order was already picked up or delivered.  Most of these scams work off of a narrow window of time that prevents cancellation.  If you've already contacted all of the above, you will likely not hear back from Best Buy.  Here is a direct quote from the link above.

Please note:

  • Best Buy will generally not reach out to you after the incident is reported, however Best Buy will cooperate with the authorities in their investigations
  • If you need more information about your situation, please contact your local police or credit card company for an update on their investigation

That doesn't mean that they haven't done anything.  At that point, you should be in contact with your card company and local law enforcement for updates.  This is because Best Buy is not in a position to enforce the law for crimes, nor does Best Buy administer your card's fraud protection.
