I redeemed through my Discover account a $85 Best Buy Gift Cad and once it arrived I put the balance towards a pre-order product and threw away the card thinking I wouldn't need it anymore. I then cancelled the pre-order and thought the gift card balance would go back into my account but it turns out for Best Buy gift card balance goes back to the physical gift card. I do not have access to the physical gift card anymore, I threw it away and do not have the numbers or the pin to access it. All I have is the order# and information for the cancelled order and the last four digits of the gift card. I have called both Discover and Best Buy numerous times and they both keep pointing fingers at each other at who can issue me a new gift card. A customer support agent for Best Buy told me they can freeze the card but they cannot issue me a new one. I just got off the phone with Corporate at Discover and they told me they absolutely cannot issue me a new one, once it arrives and I have used it, it is out of their hands. I'd really appreciate some help from Best Buy is finding a solution for this, I can provide the order # of the cancelled pre-order and confirmation I received it from Discover. Any help would be appreciated, thank you.
