Denying fraudulent charge dispute and hanging up on me

I was contacted by Best But on May 25,2022. I was told that they were suspicious of fraudulent activity in my account. I look and yes there almost 20 different fraudulent charges to Apple.Com on my account in a 4 day span. I immediately disputed the charges . Today is July 1. 2022. I’ve called 7 times since then and the charges are still on my account. Now all of a sudden, every time I call, someone mysteriously hangs up on me. Someone named Echo and another operator named Destiny hung up me immediately after they asked for my name. What do I have to do? I read multiple complaints that were similar in nature. This is very disrespectful and hurtful. I’ve been a customer of Best Buy for ever. Please correct this issue!!

Did the call sound like a robot? If yes you were scammed. Best Buy won't call you for fraudulent charges this would be your card issuer to alert you of any suspicious activity.

FYI - You really need to take this up with your bank or card issuer not Best Buy directly as they would be the ones to help you with fraud disputes.

Best Buy is my bank. This is my Best Buy credit card. Best Buy did call me and the charges are still on my account.

Thanks for interacting on our Forums. We appreciate your question. No one ever likes to see that there have been fraudulent charges posted to your credit card account. The issuer of your My Best Buy Card is Citibank, N.A. You would have to contact them directly to dispute any charges, as Best Buy does not maintain the account. 

 

Please contact Best Buy Credit Card support through Citibank at (888) 574-1301 to address any questions or concerns about your card. You can also tweet them at @askciti to have them review your account as well.
