Defective item lost?

I purchased a pair of headphones on a gift card via bestbuy.com. They arrived defective as the left channel would not work.

I sent them back via a UPS prepaid label, it missed the deadline for delivery back to Best Buy's warehouse in KY, so I called BB and the 1st person I talked to stated the warehouse had received it and I should've already gotten an email stating this along with the refund back to the BB gift card as I wanted to purchase another brand f earphones with it this weekend.

I followed up with UPS as I never received this email, and UPS is stating they are not sure where the package is and it wasn't delivered.

I called back and the 2nd person stated no one at the BB call center can call the warehouse and they have no record of it being returned, he just backically went to UPS's site and did the same thing I did.

 

Is it possible to get this refund and to verify who was right the 1st or 2nd person? And why was I told the warehouse was called?

Welcome to the Best Buy Community forums. I’m sorry those headphones didn’t work out, and that you’re having issues getting that refund.


I’m not sure why you would have been told that the warehouse had been called. Regardless, I’d like to look into this for you.

Thank you, UPS found it as it was lost, and it looks like it finally will be devliered back to Best Buy tomorrow. Since this was not my fault as this was a UPS delay, hopefully I can still get the refund.

Thanks again for your help, I did talk to BB after it was found, no one said anything about being after the 15 day limit, so hopefully I will be OK.

That's great news. I'm happy to hear that the package was located.

 

If you'd like, I can follow up with the returns center about that delay so we can be sure they are aware of why it is arriving beyond the 15 days. I'd just need the info I requested earlier in a private message.
