My Blu ray steelbook of Christmas Vacation that I ordered online arrived and upon opening I noticed the case has damage and the inside has cracks on the case. The disc itself looks ok but was loose in the box.

If you have a Best Buy close to you, you can attempt to exchange it for one not damaged. Otherwise you can return and exchange it online for a new one.
Call 1-888-BEST-BUY for return instructions and a label to return.
